We built Fair Meridian because we were frustrated too. Frustrated with a financial system that traps ordinary people in compound interest debt. Frustrated that millions of Americans don't know there's a fairer way. So we built the resource we wished existed.

To make ethical, interest-free finance accessible and understandable to every American — Muslim and non-Muslim alike. We believe the conventional financial system — with its compound interest, debt traps, and opacity — was designed to benefit banks, not people. Islamic finance offers a mathematically fairer alternative. Our job is to explain it clearly, compare it honestly, and help people find it in their state.

Founder
Platform & Technology
Tufail is the founder and architect of Fair Meridian. A Full Stack Engineer and has completed his Dars-e-Nizami — the full traditional Islamic scholarship programme — at Ashrafia Islamic University, Lahore. He is also a Hafiz-e-Quran. This rare combination of software engineering depth and complete Islamic scholarly training is what makes Fair Meridian unique: the platform's architecture, finance models, and content standards are all shaped by the same Islamic values it exists to serve. Tufail also built FindIslamicNames.com, a globally used Islamic baby names platform, and has freelanced on multiple high-scale web applications.

Javeed is one of Fair Meridian's senior Sharia advisors, holding the full Dars-e-Nizami qualification (905/1000) from Wifaq ul Madaris Al-Arabiya Pakistan — the most recognised credentialing body for traditional Islamic scholarship in Pakistan — alongside an M.A. in Arabic from the University of Punjab (817/1000) and a Tajweed & Qira'at certification from Jamia Darul Uloom Islamia, Lahore. He completed Hifz-e-Quran with distinction (95%) and holds a Halal Certification from the International Halal Inspection and Certification body. With his deep command of Arabic, classical Islamic jurisprudence, and halal standards, Javeed reviews every piece of Fair Meridian content touching riba, Musharakah, Ijara, Murabaha, and Zakat — ensuring our explanations align with mainstream scholarly consensus and AAOIFI standards.

Khizar brings a dual qualification in computer science and Islamic scholarship that mirrors Fair Meridian's own founding ethos. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Virtual University of Pakistan and has completed his Dars-e-Nizami at Ashrafia Islamic University, Lahore — the same traditional Islamic scholarship programme completed by Fair Meridian's founder. He is also a Hafiz-e-Quran. This combination makes Khizar uniquely equipped to research and verify content at the intersection of modern financial technology and Sharia-compliant finance: he understands both the technical mechanics of financial products and their Islamic permissibility. Our scholars hold Dars-e-Nizami qualifications, M.A degrees in Arabic and Islamic Studies, Hafiz-e-Quran certifications, and international Islamic education experience. Content is reviewed against AAOIFI standards and mainstream Sharia scholarly consensus on financial matters including riba, Musharakah, Ijara, Murabaha, sukuk, and Zakat.
